Charities For Sellers My MissionFish Help

The Donation Amount

Every time an eBay for Charity listing sells, a charity receives money to support its mission. Here are the basic things to know about donations made through the programme:

  1. In Community Selling, there is a £2 minimum donation for each listing that sells.
  2. MissionFish makes a small deduction from each donation we process to help cover our costs. We do not take any deductions from the Gift Aid we claim on behalf of participating charities.
  3. When a Charity Direct Seller sells an item on eBay, they keep 100% of the money (we don't process their funds), but they may pay fees to PayPal or others.
  4. When you sell an eBay for Charity item, you are eligible for the eBay fee credit if the item sells. eBay’s basic selling fees (basic insertion and final value fees) will be credited back to you according to the level of your donation. The fee credit will appear automatically on your first eBay invoice after the item sells.
Understanding the £2 Minimum The MissionFish Deduction Charity Direct Selling eBay for Charity Fee Credit
To make sure that eBay for Charity is beneficial to participating charities, there is a £2 minimum donation for every listing sold by a Community Seller. This means that for every listing that sells, the seller donates the greater of:
  • The percent the seller chooses to donate X the final sale price
    (for example: a donation of 20% X a £55 final sale price = £11.00 donation)

  • OR

  • £2
If you sell more than one item in a single listing, the £2 minimum will only be counted once. For items that do not sell, there is no minimum donation.

There is no minimum donation for Charity Direct Seller listings.
