Minimum Donation Policy
- This policy is effective for eBay for Charity listings that close after 12:01 AM on 1 June 2008.
- To make sure that eBay for Charity is beneficial for participating charities, we require a £1 minimum donation for every listing sold by a Community Seller. This means that for every listing that sells, the Community Seller must donate the greater of:
- The percent the seller will donation X the final sale price
- OR
- £1
- The minimum donation applies to all eBay for Charity listings, regardless of format. For items that do not sell, there is no donation required. The table below illustrates transactions where the minimum donation would (and would not) apply.

£1.00 Resulting amount is £1, so the minimum donation applies - Multiple Quantity Listings
- If a Community Seller sells more than one item form a single listing, the £1 minimum will only be applied once against the entire listing. This is true for all multiple-quantity selling formats, including Shop listings.
- The below table illustrates how the minimum donation is applied to a multiple quantity listing.

Resulting amount is less than £1, so the minimum donation applies

No donation is due until the resulting amount "catches up" to the donation already paid

Now the total resulting amount is greater than the minimum donation, so the seller gives another £0.50
