Sellers can request a refund
- We hope that all of eBay for Charity transactions are successful. However, we know from experience that sometimes transactions on eBay aren't completed as intended. To protect Sellers in such cases, they can request a donation refund from MissionFish.
-
Waiving the right to a refund
- Every seller has the chance to declare that that they will not need a donation refund. By waiving their right to a refund a seller allows MissionFish to deliver the donation to a charity the following month, rather than holding it for 45 days.
Gift Aid and refunds
- If sellers ticked the Gift Aid box, they have the right to cancel a donation for any reason within 21 days after the item sells. To cancel a donation they must contact MissionFish and state that they want to “cancel a Gift Aided donation”. Donations can be cancelled in this way whether sellers have waived their right to a refund or not.
- Note: If this right to cancel is exercised, MissionFish will not charge any fee, and will waive or refund the donation. To prevent abuse of the program, eBay reserves the right to block donors who cancel donations from using eBay for Charity.
